Can someone please tell me in what twisted world these idiots live in? Are they really serious? They’re suing the U.S. Government for being “slow” on some regulation of Greenhouse Gases. Shouldn’t they be mad at their Senators and Representatives for not pushing these bills harder? Isn’t that what a representative government is all about?

“I believe that states have to step into a void created by a failure of federal action,” Mr. Spitzer said in an interview on Tuesday. “The global warming issue is one where the current administration has first denied the scientific evidence and only recently begun to discuss the matter in a serious way.”

So they drug their feet a little and now we’ll tie them up in lawsuits so they can’t take action anyways. And last time I checked, the U.S. was a union of States. So aren’t they, in effect, suing themselves? Further, the U.S. government is an entity comprised of representatives from the member States. Couldn’t you say that they are suing their own representatives? Wouldn’t it be easier to recall them and get someone in office to take action? And most damning of all, the U.S. government is funded by the taxes that you and I pay each year. And the people of the suing States get hit double, because not only are their Federal Tax dollars being used for this, so are their State Tax dollars. Tell the school teachers they’ll have to make do with those books from 1985, that money is needed to sue ourselves silly!

Also, the last time I checked, any subject that is not directly given to the U.S. government to regulate is regulated by the individual States. So if the Gov’t isn’t regulating these things, why doesn’t the state just make up it’s own regulations? If they’re so concerned about it, why aren’t they taking action instead of taking part in more bureaucratic piss contests. In the time it will take to sue the pants off of themselves, they could have just as easily passed a bill in their state legislation and fixed the problem locally. And why not pass the law locally, then let the Supreme Court figure out who is supposed to regulate that sort of thing. At least it would be in place until a decision was made. Then you can sue yourselves for your inaction.

Hey guys! If you want something done right sue yourselves! Morons.
