The Best Laid Plans…
Can be waylaid by the weather. My Friend Jake and I were/are planning on going to the North Dakota Public Policy Institute gathering in Bismarck tomorrow. Unfortunately, it looks like the weather is going to put a bit of a halt to it. We’re still planning on going, but it’s gone from a sure thing to a “lets see how it looks in the morning” thing.
We’re forcasted to get somewhere around 6 inches or so. If that happens tonight before we leave, we most likely aren’t going. If not, it’ll be a bit of a disappointment. I’ve been looking forward to it for a while.
If you’re in the Bismarck-Mandan area and can get there, the NDPPI starts at 9:00 (or 9:30 depending on which sentence you believe) and has a pretty good line up of ND speakers and topics. It promises to be well worth the time. And you don’t even have to be a conservative to participate. Well, I don’t think so anyways. Jake’s a card carrying Libertarian, and there hasn’t been any talk of throwing him out yet. I’m kidding, everybody is welcome.
If you do plan on attending, you should try and rsvp for the NDPPI as a courtesy to Rob and the crew putting this on so they have some idea how many are showing up.

You forgot to mention that instead of getting up early to try to head to Bismarck, we are getting up extra extra early
The near blizzard conditions they are talking about have me a bit leery of us actually getting to get out of here – but hey maybe it will work out!
