McCain Suspending Campaigning to Deal with Economy Crisis

Thank goodness.  Some sanity finally.

John McCain, Republican candidate for the President, has announced that he will be suspending his campaigning to return to Washington and attend to the economy crisis.  He’s laid down a challenge to the Democrat candidate to do the same and also asked for the debates that are scheduled for Friday to be postponed.

I think that this is a really good move.  The entire country is teetering in the balance over the economy, no thanks to the media, and I think it will do McCain some good to show that he’s above the rhetoric and campaigning and really is putting the “Country First” as his campaign slogan states.

This country needs a leader, not a speaker.  While Obama is one heck of a speaker and probably one of the most charismatic candidates that I can remember in a while, I truly believe that McCain is the better choice of the two.  Thus far, he’s the only one who has shown any leadership ability what-so-ever.
