Driver’s Licenses for Illegals? Are You Kidding Me?
It seems to me that this really shouldn’t be a question at all. Of course you don’t give illegal immigrants driver’s licenses. They aren’t legal, therefore they do not get a license that makes it legal for them to do many things.
As an argument for that statement, I’ll ask only one question. When was the last time you were asked for your proof of citizenship? Never? Me either. It is assumed, by just about everyone, that a drivers license is proof of ID. And, as far as most of us are concerned, that is proof of citizenship as well. We don’t go around giving drivers licenses to foreign visitors do we? No, we accept their foreign drivers license as proof of ability. I’d be all for giving the illegals a identification card. Oh, yeah, we call that a visa don’t we.
Bottom line is this: If you’re going to be in the U.S.A illegally, nothing should be easy for you. We’ve already broken that rule by giving you free health care, well paying jobs (comparatively) , and free public educations. And you didn’t even have to pay taxes! See how generous we are?
