Like most of you, over the summer and into the fall, I’ve been watching, listening, studying and praying about who could lead this country as our next president.
I won’t leave you in suspense. Though Giuliani might be savvy enough to lead people, Fred Thompson wise enough to wade through the tides of politics, McCain tough enough to fight terrorism and Romney business-minded enough to grow our economy, I believe the only one who has all of the characteristics to lead America forward into the future is ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
I’m not sure that Chuck Norris’ support will be enough to make the swing for Huckabee, but it certainly can’t hurt a candidate that has been trickling (if not surging) forward in the polls as of late.
Unfortunately for Chuck and Mike, I think that Mike is too conservative Christian to get the Republican vote. That isn’t to say that I don’t like the guy. I do. In fact, he just might be my guy for President as well. I haven’t made up my mind, but he’s the frontrunner at the moment. To Huckabee’s credit, he isn’t afraid to speak his mind and let his beliefs be known. Good for him. That’s an admirable trait. I just don’t think that his beliefs and platform will win over some of the more liberal Republicans. At least not over candidates like Thompson and Guiliani.
